WPBA Recognition

kristicarter01Kristi M. Carter started playing pool with her brother at the age of 19, and fell in love instantly.  In 1996, after three years of practicing and competing in local tournaments, she decided to hone her skills traveling across the U.S.  She won a handful of Regional Tour qualifiers and competed in her first WPBA event in November 1997 at the New Orleans Classic where she finished a respectable 9th place.   She went on to earn her Touring Pro card and competed at that level over the next three years, before taking a break from the game.

In 2006, she returned to billiards, not as a player but as the Vice President of Alfie Inc., a company dedicated to promoting and managing Allison Fisher.  In 2008, she was elected to her first of a three-year term with the WPBA Board of Directors.  Her strengths include strategic planning, business/partnership developments, technology, and management.  She believes in being objective and continuously seeks creative and progressive solutions.

As an athlete and sports fan, she appreciates what inspires an athlete’s passion for excellence and is able to relate to a supporter’s devotion to sports.   She is the current the Chairwoman of the WPBA Production and Strategic Partners Committees. Some of her objectives are to create alternative avenues of revenue coming into the organization, to improve the relationship and awareness of billiards in the eyes of the public and its supporters, and to work closely with affiliates to build strategically balanced partnerships that fuel a high-quality end product.
